Non-Emergencies
In these instances, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. An air conditioner not functioning in hot weather is not considered an emergency, so if your HVAC unit is not working, re-set your HVAC circuit breaker located in the electrical panel. If it is running but not cooling as well as you think it should, be sure your thermostat is set on “cool” or “auto” and not “fan”. If this does not resolve your concern, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message - we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Dripping plumbing fixtures and pipes are also not emergencies. Do not use a fixture that is leaking until it is repaired. Be sure to turn off the valves to the fixture that is dripping to prevent water damage and be sure to clean up any excess water from the affected area. Please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
If you have one clogged toilet due to blockage this is not considered an emergency. We recommend turning the water off at the back of that toilet and use a plunger to dislodge the blockage. If this does not work, use another toilet in your home. We suggest you contact a local plumber to handle any blockage if you feel it is an emergency.
Electrical failure to an outlet or appliance is also not an emergency. If a plug is not working, check the circuit breaker at electrical panel to be sure nothing needs to be reset. If your loss of power is in the kitchen, baths, garage or on the exterior of your home, check your small GFI resets (in each GFI plug location) to be sure they have not been “tripped”. If you would like us to inspect an outlet where you have a concern, please call FCB Homes during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at (209) 444-2812 and leave a message — we will get back to you either that day or on the next business day to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
